End of Primary School

Well last night Amelia had her Gade 6 presentation night. I still can't believe that she is finishing primary school, where did the last 7 years go! It was a great night and it was great to see how far all the kids have come over the past 7 years. It was great to hear a few talk about their memories and the main one that they all enjoyed was participating in JRock. They even showed the clip taken at the Derwent Entertainment Centre and it was fantatstic what they put together. The Principle talked about how many things have happened over their years and talked about how manmy things have happened in their life time that has had an impact on the word but she said that it is the friendships and things that have happened during the school years that will have the most impact on the students and it will be these things that they remember in years to come and will stay with them as they get older. She gave her own examples and then said how she had to google events that happened while she was at school. One of the senior staff put together a fantastic presentation of photos of the grade 6 students which was wonderful, they had asked parents to send photos of the kids as a baby and then as as theywere a little bit older. We sent  these photos of Amelia

I love this one taken at the Botanical Gardens in Hobart.

This was taken at BootCamp a few months ago.
Amelia sat very well on the mat for an hour and a half I was very impressed with her

She went up and received her graduation certificate from Mrs Tyeson, who has been such a great teacher over the last 2 years we are going to miss her.

After the grade 6's got their certificates they then stayed on stage and presented a song for everyone. Amelia was more interested in checking out all the photos in the graduation certificate she got!

After the assembly we went as a family for ice creams and Maccas! It was nice to sit in and just hang out together.

So she now only has two more days at Trevallyn and then she is done! It has been a great experience for her and for us and we are looking forward to seeing what happens next year whe she goes to St Gorges!
