Grand Final Day!

Well what a day it was on Saturday! As a family we decided to have our own little grand final footy party. We had the pie and sauce, the hot dogs and the can of coke, or for the kids a can of lift! It was a great day and I must say I sat and watched as it was such a close game. I hope the neighbours dont complain with the yelling coming from our lounge room but it was such a stressful game to watch. As a Saints supporter it was a close game BUT they did miss so many good opportunities to get in front and win the game. However by saying that I reckon they wil come back next year and will be a team not to mess with, now that they have had the taste hey will want to win it next year, bring on Grandfianls 2010 as it will be the Saints all the way!

The kids loved the streamers and ran around with them all afternoon!

Feeling a bit stressed! I also scored myself a new t'shirt for the game, the Saints one of course!

Some of the food delights on offer!

Ryan had been working on his ute just before the game so he was rather hungry. Also notice that I hung out my beach towel with the Saints on it.

I couldn't beleive that the kids actyually watched a fair bit of the game, I was sure that they were going to have a wally as they would want to watch a video but they were really good.

Go the Saints!

Well tomorrow in our house is going to be exciting as my footy team is playing the Grand Final!!!!! Now I only started following AFL about 3 years ago and I picked the Saints as my team. I am really excited that this year they have made the Grand Final and I am set to watch. We have our pies, hot dogs, can of coke and chips. I went and brought myself some Saints gear today so I can play my official fan role tomorrow. I even went to the part shop in town and got some helium ballons and streamers to deck out the house. Ryan is stirring me and saying that he reckons the Cats are going win. Keep thinking that cause thats all it will be a though that wont happen as I reckon the Saint will get it by 16 points. I must say that last week I was very stressed wacthing the game when the Saints were down by a bit, but in true form they pull through in the final stages where it counts. I also think they will be really pumped as they have only won 1 grand final so they will be wanting to change this concept.

GO THE SAINTS!!!!!

Photos Of Will

2 Saturdays ago we were in town and I had the camera, suprise suprise! And I found these little stairs that I thought would be a cute place to get some photos of Will. I have some photos of Amelia at the Botanical Gardens in Hobart on some steps and they looked really good so I am hoping that I can get a chance to photoshop these lot and do some up in a frame. I have the frame I want to use just now have to find the time to get it done!

Beaconsfield Trip

In the first week of the holidays, while the weather was fine, I took a drive out to Beaconsfield to have lunch with Ryan. We had a lovely picnic lunch and the kids enjoyed a great play at the playground just down the road from Ryan's work. As a treat we took the kids to the local shop and they got to choose an icecream. Amelia suprise suprise chose a paddle pop triple swirl her favourite and William chose a smarties ice cream. The weather was actually NOT raining BUT it was a little cool with the wind! Can't be choosy it's either wet or windy.

Hobart Pictures

Well in the first week of the school holidays, it seems so far away, we went to Hobart and hung out. I was down their for the Youth Convention BUT I had some other family things that I had to deal with so I only managed to make it to the dance on the Friday night and Church on the Sunday. So here are a few snapshots from the weekend:
On the Saturday morning we went to Salamance Market and the weather was wonderful!
On the Sunday it was Father's day so we had lunch at Mum's and Pa came around. It was nice as it is the first time in a while that Mum and Pa have actually had a photo taken together, here they are checking themselves out and seeing how they look!
In the afternoon Ryan and I took Amelia and Will to the local playground for some adventure! Amelia has really taken a shine to Hawthorn footy team and she has been bugging us for a t'shirt so she got one in Hobart and refused to remove it, even to sleep she had to wear it! We all had fun on the equipment!

On the Mondat Mum looks after Henry and Josh and we said that if they were all really good that we would take them for an ice cream at McDonalds! Well they were really good and so we came through on our promise! It was so funny seeing the van choccers with kids all having a great time!

Broadband

Wlel it is official we are now longer SLOW dial up users anymore! We are now able to get fast broadband!!!!! I have finally just set up the router so I can get my laptop on board and I must say I am really excited. Just for FUN I downloaded a song on itunes and nearly died as it was done in super speed time, no longer waiting 17 minutes for one song AND now I can listen to a sample of a song without it buffering every 2 seconds!!!!!! I have tried for ages to get broadband where we are, mind you we are a 2 minute drive to the centre of Launceston and yet we have JUST got access to affordable broadband. And we are steering clear of Telstra we have signed with Netspace. I had one hiccup which was easily fixed and their was no long waiting and I got to speak to a guy in Australia!!! Last time I rang Telstra for a billing questions for the mobile I was tranfered back and forward for 2 and a half hours, I was just a LITTLE cranky by the end of it! Anyways I am looking forward to uploading my pics here on the blog as well as actually watching all those funny you tube links people send but I never get to look at as it was always too slow!!!!

A trip to Melbourne

Well last week was such a busy week! Ryan was scheduled to have a weeks holiday from work and I had booked him a flight to Melbourne so that he could go to the Temple. Well as most good plans things changed when we got the phone call on Friday about Nan. Originally the plan was that Ryan would fly out of Launceston on the Tuesday afternoon and then catch the flight home on the Friday early afternoon. Well as nan's funeral was on the Tuesday and we were in Hobart, we changed his flight to leave from Hobart on the Tuesday night. So after chasing down a ticket we were sorted. He flew out and spent a few days staying with his sister Yvette and her family.
On the Wednesday he went to the Temple in the morning and then in the afternoon he and Yvette went to Ikea! I must say he did a great job and got everything on my list and then some!!!!!! he had that much stuff he actually sent a package home which arrived today and I am waiting for him to come home so that we can open it! On the Wednesday night he went to the Temple again.

Thursday he did the Temple and then went clothes shopping, I again was impressed when he sent me a text message and said that he was still shopping. I think it must have been a record for him as he spent all afternoon looking at clothes!!!!!!! Thursday night he watched Scott play basketball.
On the Friday he didn't have much time to do much so he got up and got packed and Yvette took him to the airport where he had a stroll to fill in the time. I must say I was a bit cranky that he didn't bring us home any Krispy Kreme's BUT he mentioned that some other people were told that they could not take their donuts on the plane as they had to purchase the food on the plane!!!!! I think that it might be the last time we fly Jetstar!!
