Happy Birthday Dad!

On Saturday afternoon we had Ryan's mum, dad and anthony come up to stay and to go out for dinner with the family living in the North of the State. The Crossins came down from Devenport and Kirk and Amy came along as they live here in Launceston. We went out to the Cenntenial for dinner and everyone seemed to have a good night. Everyone enjoyed their dinners and their was a great variety on offer. Amelia and William had chicken nuggets and chips, Ryan had the mixed grill (the regular size this time not the BIG mother of all mothers like last time). I had a dirty old Steak as I am trying to eat a little more red meat as my iron levels are a bit low. We didn't have desert at the pub as we were coming back to our place for a yummy lemon and passionfruit cake. I must say I was a little sad that I couldn't make my chocolate mud cake but I had strict instructions that a few people were not able to eat chocolate. the cake was a hit however and as an extra I made some vanilla lemon cupcakes, just can't help myself when it comes to making cupcakes. This is a receipe that I actually designed myself! Felt pretty cleaver with myself for coming up with a new recepie!

After cake some of the family left and those that stayed the night watched a bit of TV then went to bed!. I must say that I was very tiered this morning as it was a busy day.

St Lennords School Fair

Yesterday our family went to the School Fair at St Lennords primary school. We have t thank Cathy Reeve for giving us a call on the Friday afternoon to let us know it was on otherwise we would have had no idea.

We enjoyed looking at all the things on offer. We managed to get a good deal on some clothes for William, the girls and myself, I LOVE second hand shopping!

Amelia enjoyed a BBQ sausage and her and William enjoyed a play on the playground equipmet as we were leaving. William has absolutely NO fear! He was happy to go on the BIG slide it was that much bigger than him he struggled just to get himself up the steps to the top.

On the way home we enjoyed a McDonalds ice cream and managed to see Hannah working through the drive through, it's always nice to see a friendly face at Maccas.

I had to add this photo as it is a miracle that one of my children actually semms to enjoy eating fruit. Amelia is a no go zone on ALL fruit which I think is really sad. Charlotte is PEG fed so doesn't eat anything through her mouth and William up until yesterday would only ever eat a Bannana! As I write this he is sitting watching TV withe Amelia and is eating another apple.

Busy Hobart weekend, birthdays and all!

Well we had a very big weekend just gone!

On Friday night we travelled to Hobart as it was mum's 60th on Wednesday and Roz and I were planning a night out on the Sat. night for her and her friends. We also took her out on the Sat and she had a manicure and pedicure. Dont they look lovely!

In the car on the way down William and Charlotte were book buddies.

Charlotte got some lovely presents as it was her birthday on the Tuesday just gone and one of the things she got was some yummy lipbalm, mmmmm tastes good.

The family had a get together on the Sat to celebrate Mums and Charlotte's birthday with an afternoon tea at Roz and Chris's house. It was such a lovely afternoon as the sun was out and temperature was fantastic. We sat outside on their deck and had a great time, as did the kids. Amelia and Henry had fun playing together, and Josh and William enjoyed doing their own thing. William loved just running around and playing in the sand pit, Josh loved cuddling Polley dog.

I made some of my famouse cupcakes and they were a hit! If anyone is interested in buying some of my cupakes just drop me an email to find out more details, I do a few different types. I am also getting together photo display of cakes that I make for people to buy. Have had a few orders for them so am putting it out to everyone.

We also managed to do some shopping in Hobart, Amelia is looking great in the car, she was far too big for it but insisted on getting in.

On the way home on the Sunday it was a very relaxing drive, as you might tell from Amelia's pose!

William enjoyed eating his biscuits and getting in a BIG Mess, I still have to clean the carseat out from it all.

Miss Charlotte

Today Miss Charlotte turned 10, it only seems like yesterday that she was a little baby in my arms in the hospital, oh how time goes by too quick!
Today she went to school after enjoying part of her birthday present, a sit in her new recliner, and for morning tea I took cupcakes into her school for her to share with the students and staff in her class. Charlotte can not actually eat things with her mouth as she has a PEG that feeds through her stomach, but it was nice to share cake with the others in her class that can, and they all sang Happy Birthday to her as well. I heard that when she had her Hydrotherapy swim this morning that the staff from St Giles sang Happy Birthday to her as well. She sure has had a lot of singing done for her today!
This morning Nan rang to wish her a Happy Birthday and straight after Aunty Roz and her family sent a text, then this afternoon Great Grandma and Grandpa rang, she even managed to have a little smile when they were talking to her on the phone.
All in all it was a lovely day and it will come around all too quick next year I am sure, as the years seem to be getting shorter and shorter.
This is Charlotte with Noah and her teacher Mrs Gunn.

I think it was too early for Charlotte this morning, she was not at all impressed when she opened her present!
Charlotte loves her new couch! Very snuggly on it.

Family Home Evening

Tonight for FHE we decided to have a little birthday party for Lottie, as it is her birthday tomorrow and we thought we would celebrate it over the two days. We had pass the parcel, balloon soccor and sand happy birthday while we ate birthday cupcakes. I tried a new receipe for them and they were yum yum yum!

Happy birthday to you Charlotte!

Yummy yummy yummy, they actually have a rose taste to them as the receipe mix for the cake has rosewater in it.

Ryan loves to play party games!

I wonder what is in the parcel?

William loved playing pass the parcel, getting him ready fr his birthday next month.

Wow I think Amelia might have won the parcel!

I thought that these Balloons would be pretty to wa ke up to in the morning!

Charlotte has been enjoying her new chair that she got as part of her birthday present, it is almost a fight to who will get it first. William likes to sit in her recliner and watch the wiggles, will have to try and get a pic next time as it is so funny.

What a poser!

Another lovely day

It was another lovely day in Launceston with the sun shining and we were able to get outside and enjoy it. I couldn't help take some snaps of the outdoors.

We also have enjoyed cranking up the BBQ the past two days, we pretty much live on BBQ food over the summer, I say bring it on!

Heart Attacked

Well last night as we went to put the garbage out imaging the suprise we got to see our front lawn.

Some little elves had been around giving us a heart attack! We are not sure who it was but we would like to say a BIG THANKYOU. It was really funny to hear Ryan go outside and say 'umm Ange check this out?" Our neighbours think we are a little strange but now they must think we are even stranger to be outside last night collecting all the hearts from the lawn. Ryan thought it might be better to do it while it was dark so we didn't look too wierd to our neighbours.

Busy Weekend

We have been busy busy busy this weekend and the main thing we have enjoyed is being together as a family.

We went to Evandale and enjoyed the lovely weather as we wandered around. We took dad's car out to get fuel, William and Amelia love to go in the ute the only problem is that it has two seats the driver and 1 passenger. We convinced Amelia that is she came in the van with m,e we would go and feed the horses up near the tip, as this was anothe job we had to do.

I also gave William his first haircut. I was really unsure about cutting too much off as I didn't want him to lose his curls, but it is all good as he still has heaps of curls at the back. After his shower tonight he actually looked like a little wooly sheep, very cute! And like all proud mum's I must say that I have kept some of the little man's first haircut. I am really lucky being a hairdresser as I would dread to think how much money it would cost for our family to have haircuts for the year. Plus William was really comfortable in getting his haircut today if it had been someone else he may not have been so good. I know from my salon days that some kids just full on when you try to cut their hair. I am always worried that I will cut myself with some kids that move around all the time.
