Well we decided that we would get up early on Saturday and go and see the rushing Gorge as we heard that it was at the highest it has been in 20 odd years. We got their around 9am and walked up from King's Bridge all the way up the the Suspension Bridge. As we walked we took advantage of stopping at spots and taking pics of the fantastic display. I must say that the kids did a great job as walking. Amelia didn't complain once, which is very unusal for her not to crack it. Will was go go go as we walked into the Gorge BUT on the walk back out he really was all tiered out! Apparently Sam, Clare and Chloe were on the Zig Zag track and happened to see us so were trying to ring my mobile and send a text BUT it was so LOUD we didn't hear the phone. It was amazing to see how fast the water was rushing down and to see how BIG logs were caught in the rapids and crashing into the rocks. Even the basin playground was under water with only a little of the top of the swing able to be seen. For obviouse reasons the Suspension Bridge was closed as it was a little dangerouse for people to be on, BUT some bright spraks were still taking the risk and going on it even thought they had warning signs up.
After our walk we did a few errands around town, including getting ingredients to make some homemade Pizza's for Amy and Kirk who were our babysitters for the evening as Ryan and I went to see the Harry Potter film. It was alright, but not the best of the ones. Ryan who has just started to really enjoy reading in the past year has read all the Harry Potter books, and he was a little upset as he thought that they missed heaps out of the movie including setting up certain things, such as Dumbeldores hand being black. For me I read the books so long ago that I have forgotten some of the details, I would love to read them again BUT it is trying to fit in the time to do it!
