A sore paw!

Charlotte has not been too good of late. She has been very touchy whenever she has been touched and we were a little worried that she may have hurt her leg or foot as she was mainly upset when it was touched the most. On Wednesday night she was worse than she had every been and when Ryan and I were doing Personal Training with Jodie she was very miserable. Ryan and I thought that it would be a good idea to take her to the emergency and get them to check her, seeing she can not tell us herself exactly what is wrong we thought they could at least do xrays and check that nothing was broken as she also had a swollen ankle.

Ryan took her in and I stayed at home with Amelia and William. The poor things had to wait in the emergency waiting room for 4 hours even before they were seen! I asked Ryan if there were lots of people there and he said that it was a little busy. The worse thing for him was that a few guys came in with gastro and they were chucking into buckets in the waiting room!!!! I told Ryan that I was glad it was him and not me cause I would have had to leave ( I am not very good when peopel are puking around me!) He also said another person came in and was throwing themself on the floor and talking about themselves as if they were the third person, he said he wasn't too worried (mind you he has seen this type of stuff before when he use to do security in the Royal Hobart Hospital) he did say that a few people that had families waiting were a little worried!

So after waiting all that time, with lots of entertainment! He finally got into a cubicle where he waited another hour before he was able to take Charlotte in to have an xray. He then waited 15 minutes before the Dr came back and said nothing broken but that Charlotte's ankle was sprained. So after he put a crepe bandage on it they were ok to leave!

So due to the hour he decided that it may be better to stay home and sleep yesterday as he didn't have much sleep after being up most of the night at the hospital.

We took Charlotte to our GP for a look see yesterday and she was concerned about the crepe bandage the Dr in the Emergency had put on her so she suggested something a little firmer, which makes sense.

Poor Charlotte didn't get much sleep so she was allowed to have a sleep in.

The sore paw!

Ow! Poor Charlotte. Glad you worked out what it was. Noah had a broken arm from school once and I saw it straight away thank goodness as he wasn't letting us know it was sore at all.
