Today we went for a drive to Beaconsfield to participate in a 3km Anzac day run/walk to help raise money for Cancer. The start time was 1pm but we needed to be their early to register for it. Ryan and I decided to do the 3km as they had two races the 3km and the 8km. I was running it and he was walking with the kids, and the deal was that when I got back I would come back down the road and find him. This was the second race I have actually competed in I must say that it very different than working out at the gym and home. At home I can easily run at least 6 to 10 km on the treadmill at a reasonable speed but when you get out on the open road with the wind bashing against your face as you hit a head wind it is much more challenging. I must say I was happy with my time today and I got back in 13:30 which was great as I was hoping to get in under 15:00. I was also really impressed with Ryan as he had a real workout on his hands! He had Charlotte in her chair, William in the backpack and Ameli who cracked it and wanted to ride on Charlotte instead of walking. I must also say that Charlotte doesn't seem to mind having her big lump of a sister sitting on her knees as she would have complained if she was unhappy. Amelia was also really good at doing the cheering on of people as they would go past, I even got a BIG cheer as I ran past them on my way back up to the finish line. It was great day out although it was supposed to rain today we were lucky to ahve the rain stay away at least till this afternoon, bit bad for those people going to the footy tonight as they are going to get nice and wet!

Shopping Will!
Yesterday William was really funny, he grabbed one of the cooler bags and said goodbye to me and went shopping! He went to his room stocked up on some toys and came back, he then said 'Hi Mum!' He is just funny sometimes as he then put the cooler bag over his head and walked around the house banging into things! He thought it was really funny when he grabbed at my legs. I thought it was even funnier when he tried to put the bag over his head while trying to keep the toys in it! They fell out and then he tried to shove them back up inside the bag again. What a silly billy!
Amelia's Trip Away!
Well over the Easter holidays our house was a little quiet compared to normal as we had Amelia go and stay with the Crossin family in Port Sorell. She travelled up with Abbey and Zoe on the bus Wednesday night and we went and picked her up after church on the Sunday. I heard that she had a lovely time away with movines, bowling, walks (although she wasn't quiet so keen on the walk!), loving spending time with the girls, idolising Mack when she would come home from work by giving her the BIG round of applause. Loving the dressups at a fancy dress shop (hopefully will get some pics to blog as they are great!), and just beiing spoilt rotton!
Coral and Rob can enjoy some Amelia time out now!
We would like to say a BIG THANKYOU to th Crossin family for having Amelia as we must say we enjoyed a different dynamics in our house with not having her hear that we could enjoy once every now and again! Now don't get me wrong we LOVE our Amelia BUT sometimes it is nice to have a day were I DONT have to yell at the kids as they are fighting over something so silly! Hey we even had two days sleep in on the Sat and Sunday, something that NEVER usually happens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fancy Faces!
Well Amelia and I decided to do face masks this morning, William thought we looked a little strange and kept giving us wierd looks! I said that maybe when he is older he can get in on the action too! Now I just have to put up with big zits to come out, this is what usually happens when I use a face mask!
A Play at the Playground
Yesterday was such a lovely day that the kids and I went to the playground at Amelia's school for a play. It was a great time and Amelia loved hanging like a monkey and William just loved running around like a feral child jumping onto everything. We stayed for about half an hour before we went home to chill out and have lunch.

Boys!
On Sunday evening we met up with Elder Hathaway who was serving in our ward a few months back he was moved to Rosny Ward and we had said to him that when we were down we would catch up with him. He was one of the Missionaries that Ryan has worked with while he has been the Ward Mission Leader in our Ward, and the two of them got on really well. Apart from a little hiccup that being that the Elders thought we were going to catch up with them on Monday for dinner and we thought Sunday so they double booked the Sunday we ended up having them over for desert instead. As is the usual habit of Missionaries present and past they all had a bit of fun doing to pose for the camera. Oh boys will be boys. I know that transfers were yesterday so I am not sure if Elder Hathaway is on the move from Rosny or he is staying.
Easter Bunny arrived!
On Easter Sunday we spent the day with my family. Since my Nan had her leg amputated over a year ago the only time she can visit my Mum's house is when we are down as Ryan is able to carry her up the steps at mum's house as her arthritis is so bad she just wouldn't have the strength to lift her body up while using one leg. So they came around for the day and enjoyed the exchange of Easter eggs, as per usual we all got too much chocolate! I did discuss with my sister about exchanging books for the kids instead of chocolate which was a better idea as the kids can keep the book and read it over and over again. We had a yummy lunch of roast Turkey and lamb with vegies and brandy snaps for desert. In the afternoon it is the custom for all the oldies to have a little siesta! The kids are not really into the sleep thing so they entertained themselves, including William dressing in a doyle, I am wondering if he wants to work in a court or something as they wear funny things on their heads! Another activity we did i the afternoon was foot soaking. Since mum has had her hip replacment she has not been able to bend down and do her feet so guess who got to do it this wekend? ME! We soaked, trimmed and painted toe nails, even the kids wanted in on the foot soaking!
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall! We always get a Humpty Dumpty easter eggs, this year my mum gave the kids each one.
Even Ryan is excited hope that you don't eat that all at once just think how long you will need to run after eating that?
Grandma and Will, hmmmm not sure if Will is too happy maybe Grandma is taking too long to dish out the Easter eggs! Hurry up Grandma!Doesn't he look cute! Sometimes I think he should have been a girl, but then he has all the attitude of a boy.
Good Friday
Well this Easter we spent in Hobart visiting family. We left Launceston on the Friday morning and got in to Hobart at lunch time. After a simple lunch we went out to the park with the kids. It was a overcast day and a little cool but it was great when we ran around with the kids as it got us all warmed up. Will loved the slide and the swing and I must say that I had a little worry when he fell back off the slide and I caught him by his feet just mm from his head hitting teh ground!!!!!! It's amazing what you can do when put under pressure. We all had a good time and after we had finished at the park we went to Maccas for a soft serve then a drive around Salamanca and ended up getting the kids some yummy fresh fish and chips from off one of the punts down there. We ended up having a prawn stirfry for dinner and the kids just wont eat vegies at the moment so I knew to get them something different. All in all apart from teh travelling for over 2 hours in the car with Amelia being a bit silly we actually had a relaxing day.

Amelia our Chocolate Maker
On Tuesday Amelia and I went to Young Women's and the activity for teh night was to make chocolates. Between the Young Women leaders we were able to scrap up a larg variety of moulds for the girls to use. Amelia worked really well and Sam was a great help in working with Amelia, they had heaps of fun making the chocolates together! I said to Amelia on the way home that we as a family are making chocolates this Sunday and now that she has shown us how professional she is at making them, she can be the one to tell us what to do on Sunday.
