Choc Fudge Brownie with choc chip cookies

I found this great recipe on the net a few days ago and decided to make it. It uses 1 packet of Betty Crockers Fudge Brownie, made to the packet instructions. The I made a batch of choc chip cookie dough. Put the brownie mix in a slice tin then roll your choc chip cookie dough into small balls and put them into the fudge brownie mix randomly. Cook the brownie mix to the packets directions then when it is cooked through (a skewer comes out clean) remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the tin. Tips I found was to grease and line the tin and allow for over hang of the paper as it helps removal when the brownie is cold. Once the brownie is cold ice with a choc gnash using cream and choc drops smooth over the brownie and be prepared to have a sure chocolate rush! It was that good that Ryan struggled to get through his piece, so tip number 2 is you only need a small serve.

Happy Birthday Ryan

Well Ryan turned 38 today and he decided a few weeks ago that he didn't want to work on his birthday, so put in for a RDO. To start the day he enjoyed being woken by master William who has been very eager the past few days in telling Dad all about his presents and the cake we had made for him, no such thing as secrets with kids that's for sure!

After a busy morning were Ryan came to work with me I had the chance to inflict some pain on him with a dose of fitball and aqua. We then did a little retail therapy then decided to take ourselves with Will to Maccas for a birthday lunch, seriously try the limited edition chicken snack wraps with pesto as they are really good! Ryan also wanted to have the chance to hook into his new Iphon touch so he could try out the wifi connection and Maccas is a free place to go.
This afternoon Will helped me decorate the sponge cake (as requested as the birthday cake, I was a little dissapointed as I wanted to make a mud cake or something) Ryan suggested a marshmallow sponge with cream so after opening three bags of marshmallows so I could use just the pink we finally got to eat and sing happy birthday. So now as I write this we are all on a little sugar rush! Tonight we are having Burger Got Soul and maybe a garlic pizza, as Ryan has been hanging out for one for a while. Then maybe a DVD when the kids go to bed, but only after Master Class!

SO I hope that Ryan has had a wonderful birthday and I have really enjoyed spending the day with him and the worse part is that the day always goes really quick which is a pain!
