A Day at the Footy
Well today was the annual Stake footy match between Launceston combined East and West and teh Devenport, Deloraine and Burnie team. The weather really showed it's best today as it was a great sun shine, however a little cool when the wind blew. The game was held in Deloraine and the boys had a great time. Many will be feeling a bit sore tonight I am sure and I wouldn't be suprised if the main smell at church tomorrow is not a wafting of deep heat from some very sore muscles! The final score was 77 to 64 Launceston's favour!
It was a great time for the ladies to catch up and for the kids to have a play together. I know that Amelia and Will enjoyed seeing many people they knew and had fun kicking the footy during he quarters.

Lovely Weather and a chance to bounce
It has been so great to have some nice weather for a change. It is even nicer that the kids can get outside and play, something that they have not been able to do much of over the past few months. Amelia and Will have enjoyed being able to get outside onto the trampoline and even though I get really stressed when they are on it together, Amelia being so much bigger than Will could bounce him off, I love these photos of them actually playing so well together. I just wish they could be like this ALL the time! I know it is whishful thinking.
As the weather has been so great I even took Will to the park the other day to have a good run around, and run around he did! Sometimes I just wish that the enegry he has at the playground could be the the same energy he would use when we walk Amelia to school or home again he just takes so long!!!!!!
Suzie and Phil
On Wednesday Will and I went to watch a performance at Charlotte's school. Amelia was their also as her school was invited to attend. It was Suzie and Phil Splitter We have known about Suzie and Phil since Amelia was in grade 3 at Trevallyn as one of the music teachers is good friends with them. We have listened to their Move It CD for a few years and it comes out often for Family Home Evening. One song we like in particular is Action Leader which is a song where the kids take it in turn showing an action that everyone can copy. I have even used some of the cd when I was on my kinder prac a few years back. The girls had a great time although Will was not as excited as I thought he might be. I am sure that the Wiggles will be a different story! Amelia got down and did her groovy dances with Mr Peck, the Assistant principle at St Gorges, and Charlotte got to play the thunder drum! The kids on a whole loved it and it was good to see that they were able to get up and just dance and sing and that they were all having a good time.
Amelia getting groovy on the dance floor with Mr Peck!
Fuzzy the Clown was a big hit, it was great that they even had some clown collars for the kids to put on and let them pretend to be fuzzy the clown.

Grand Final Day!
Well what a day it was on Saturday! As a family we decided to have our own little grand final footy party. We had the pie and sauce, the hot dogs and the can of coke, or for the kids a can of lift! It was a great day and I must say I sat and watched as it was such a close game. I hope the neighbours dont complain with the yelling coming from our lounge room but it was such a stressful game to watch. As a Saints supporter it was a close game BUT they did miss so many good opportunities to get in front and win the game. However by saying that I reckon they wil come back next year and will be a team not to mess with, now that they have had the taste hey will want to win it next year, bring on Grandfianls 2010 as it will be the Saints all the way!
The kids loved the streamers and ran around with them all afternoon!
Feeling a bit stressed! I also scored myself a new t'shirt for the game, the Saints one of course!
Some of the food delights on offer!
Ryan had been working on his ute just before the game so he was rather hungry. Also notice that I hung out my beach towel with the Saints on it.
I couldn't beleive that the kids actyually watched a fair bit of the game, I was sure that they were going to have a wally as they would want to watch a video but they were really good.

Go the Saints!
Well tomorrow in our house is going to be exciting as my footy team is playing the Grand Final!!!!! Now I only started following AFL about 3 years ago and I picked the Saints as my team. I am really excited that this year they have made the Grand Final and I am set to watch. We have our pies, hot dogs, can of coke and chips. I went and brought myself some Saints gear today so I can play my official fan role tomorrow. I even went to the part shop in town and got some helium ballons and streamers to deck out the house. Ryan is stirring me and saying that he reckons the Cats are going win. Keep thinking that cause thats all it will be a though that wont happen as I reckon the Saint will get it by 16 points. I must say that last week I was very stressed wacthing the game when the Saints were down by a bit, but in true form they pull through in the final stages where it counts. I also think they will be really pumped as they have only won 1 grand final so they will be wanting to change this concept.
GO THE SAINTS!!!!!
